The length of time it takes to com-
plete the Autobuild process is depen-
dent upon changer and your Internet
connectionl.
FireBall DVDM-100 can Autobuild 3 full
Sony DVD changers in about 2 hours.
Other changers may take significantly
longer to Autobuild.
Run the Autobuild Process
FireBall DVDM-100 manages DVD and CD discs stored in external changers through
an initial identification process Escient calls “Autobuild”. During this process, FireBall
contacts the Gracenote CDDB database and the Escient MovieDB to gather data about
each of the discs in your changer. This information includes Titles, Cast Members,
Artists, Titles, Cover Art and other disc information.
To initiate an Autobuild, load the changer(s) with discs and close the door or, if
the discs are already loaded, open and close the changer(s) doors.
FireBall will
immediately initiate a connection to Escient’s servers on the Internet to get the data for
your collection. Processing time will vary based on changer brand and models and the
number of discs in your music and movie collections.
When complete, the Movies Guide screen will display all movies available from the
attached changers. Some discs may not be recognized, and will be displayed with generic
cover art and descriptions and “Unknown DVD” as the title. The Music Guide will
display the music titles found in the changers.
