USTOMIZING
To Access FireBall DVDM-100 Utilities

Press the SETUP key on the remote control or keyboard. The SETUP main
menu displays.

Select the menu item
utilities
. The menu displays. (No other use of the system
is permitted while one of the utility processes is running.)

Select the menu item you want to access and follow the instructions on the
screen.
system restart
- performs a soft reset of the FireBall DVDM-100. (This is the
same as holding the front panel power button in for 4 seconds to reboot)
system information
- Displays the current FireBall DVDM-100 internal
settings including software versions, hardware versions, serial number,
customer ID, and network settings.
update software
- initiate a manual software update request to the Escient
server over the Internet.
IR remote control
- allows you to control FireBall DVDM-100 using the FB1,
FB2, FB3, or FB4 source device modes on the remote control. This is useful if
you have more than one FireBall in the same room, so that all FireBalls do not
respond to the same IR codes.
view direct ir numbers- view a list of selected library titles and direct
access IR codes. You can use these codes to directly access each library entry
