3.3.6 Moving the Machine
The machine was designed to be used with the radio remote control. However, an optional
remote control can be connected to the machine with a cord. This option is to be used only
when the radio remote control is out of order. Always be extremely careful when using the
wire remote. There must be two workers on the site at all time: one to control the machine
movement and the other one to guide the operator. Refer to
Safety
chapter for more details.
Use the mode selector on the control panel to select the required remote control.
DANGER!
Make sure nobody stands within a 75 feet (23 m)
range from the machine before moving it.
1.
Advise people nearby that the machine is about to be moved.
2.
Shut all regular screening functions off.
3.
Close all doors and panels.
The Screen Box doors must be closed before lowering the
Screen Box.
4.
It is not necessary to fold the conveyors when the machine is moved within a 50 m
(165 feet) range, unless there is not enough room to move the machine freely or if the
ground is rough. For a long distance move, lower the Screen Box in transport position
(first hole from the bottom of the raising system) and fold all conveyors. Make sure all
pins are in place. On the 3-product model,
the tail section of the Middle Stacker must
be raised prior to move the machine
. The traction mode will not be activated if the
Middle Stacker lower section is not raised.
5.
Once the screen is still, put the mode switch in traction mode.
