3.3.3 Preparing the Machine to Screen
CAUTION!
Make sure no one is standing in front or near
the machine at all time.
1.
Begin with the
Check List Prior to Start Up
(
Section 3.3.2
).
2.
Make sure that the machine is level. The working ground has to be hard enough for the
machine to remain level during operation.
3.
Put the mode switch (screening – traction) in screening mode. The engine will not start if
the mode switch is in traction position.
INSTRUCTIONS!
The Screen Box must be empty and clean before the
engine is started. Make sure that it is well balanced.
4.
Turn the electrical disconnect switch to ON.
5.
Turn the ignition key to ACC and wait a few seconds for the controller to turn on.
6.
Warm up the engine with the glow plug by turning the ignition key to ON and raising the
glow plug switch for a few seconds. If the temperature is lower than 5°C (41°F), hold the
switch for a few minutes.
7.
Start the engine by turning the ignition key to START.
8.
Raise the throttle to 1,200 RPM and let the machine warm up.
Note
: While doing the next steps, the engine should warm up enough to operate the machine
if the temperature is higher than 5°C (41°F).
9.
Lower lever H to enable set-up functions hydraulic system
. If this lever is not lowered,
all positioning functions will remain inactive.
This safety device was provided to
prevent folding or raising stackers during operation.
10.
Make sure no one is standing near the Fine Stacker. Unfold the Fine Stacker with lever J.
11.
Remove the retaining belt that holds the Middle Stacker during transport. Unfold the
Middle Stacker: top section with lever C, middle section with lever B. Lower tail section
with lever A (3-product model only).
