Intended use
The product is intended for bipolar coagulation or thermofusion
in the case of laparoscopic procedures.

This product is used with the following Erbe electrosurgical
units:
• VIO 300 D (with BiClamp upgrade)
• VIO 3

Safety instructions
This product may be used only by trained medical staff, who have
been shown how to use it according to the instructions for use.
Always check the product for damage before use, including the
insulation or coating.
Erbe Elektromedizin recommends performing an electrical con-
tinuity test before every use of this product.
This can be carried out, for example, with a performance test on
a cloth soaked in sterile saline solution.
Note: If the cable conductor is broken or the electrical continuity
of the cable is interrupted in any other manner it can cause arc-
ing in the patient return system or in the active circuit; this can
lead to the patient suffering burns or the outbreak of a fire.
