Connecting the Printer to Your Computer
3. Use a screwdriver to fasten the screws of the connector, if
required.
4. If your cable has a grounding wire, connect it to the printer’s
ground connector.
5. Plug the other end of the serial cable into your computer. (Fasten
the connector screws to the interface, if required.)
You may need to change some interface settings, such as baud rate
and parity, before your printer and computer can communicate
properly. See Chapter 4 for instructions on setting up the serial
interface to work with your computer.
