Appendix E: RS-232 Adapter Board Installation

The 39446 RS-232 adapter is an optional board that provides RS-232 levels for CAI channel 3.

1. Open the eCNA enclosure to gain access to the Main CPU board (5).

2. Remove the 5/16 inch KEP nut (2) from the board located between the P8 and P9 connectors.

3. Thread the standoff (3) and lockwasher (4) onto the board (5) mounting stud and tighten.

4. Plug the RS-232 interface board (1) onto the standoff (3) and the P14 header as shown.

5. Thread the 5/16 inch KEP nut (2) onto the standoff (3) and tighten.

6. Terminate RS-232 connections to the P1 terminal block on the module. Close and secure the

enclosure with screws.
