begins to flash. At the same time, hold the steam lock button (3.) or the steam trigger (4.) down to
activate the automatic cleaning function.
Note:
The steam trigger (4.) and the steam lock button (3.) cannot be held down at the same time.
Automatic cleaning lasts for around 1 minute, after which the light (12.) will switch off. Finally,
press the steam trigger (4.) to stop the release of steam.
3. As automatic (or manual) cleaning only lasts around 1 minute, the user can also hold the iron -
taking care to avoid burns - directly over a suitable container positioned below the sole plate.
Warning!
While the product is undergoing automatic (or manual) cleaning, the user must position the iron in
a safe area, due to the large quantity of water which is issued from the steam holes on the bottom
of the iron.
At this stage, droplets of hot water will fall from the plate of the iron; therefore, take care to avoid
burns.
Note:
During the automatic cleaning process, the on/off switch (13.) must be held down for around 7
seconds in order to automatically exit the programme.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
Warning!
Do not use abrasive agents to clean the plate. Try to keep the surface of the plate smooth: avoid
contact with metal objects.
Warning!
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
Warning!
Regularly check the condition of the iron’s power cord before using it. If it is damaged, contact your
nearest support centre to have it replaced, which must only be done by specialist personnel.
Clean the appliance with a slightly damp, non-abrasive cloth, water, and a few drops of a
non-aggressive cleaning product. Dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. To extend the iron’s lifespan, we
recommend carrying out this procedure on a regular basis (once or twice per month).
Fill the tank with approximately 100ml water. Do not add vinegar, descaling products or other
additives to the tank.
Plug the appliance into the electrical socket. Turn the thermostat dial to “MIN”. Position the iron
horizontally on the ironing board and press the steam trigger (4.). Slowly move the iron backwards
and forwards for 1 minute.
Remove the plug from the electric socket.
If necessary, clean the iron with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Note:
Before using the iron again, test it out on an old piece of cloth to make sure that the plate and the
tank are clean and to allow any residual water to evaporate.
Before proceeding to clean the iron, make sure that it has been plugged out and has cooled down
completely.
