21. Only switch the appliance on when it is in a
ready-to-work position.
22. Work in a room which is suitably well-lit
and clean, with an easily accessible socket.
23. During use, place the appliance on a hori-
zontal surface. The iron must only be rested on
the special stand.
24. The appliance must be used and rested on
a flat, stable surface.
25. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure
that the supporting surface is stable.
26. The iron must not be used if it has been
dropped, if it shows visible signs of damage or
if it is leaking water.
27. Smoke may be emitted from the appliance
the first time it is used. This is a temporary and
perfectly normal occurrence, caused by the
fact that some components are slightly lubri-
cated.
28. When stepping away from the iron, even
briefly, switch it off, rest it on its stand, and
always plug out the power cord.
29. When inserting the water tank into the
body of the appliance, push it gently into the
space provided for it until you hear a click, to
prevent water leakage.

cooled down completely.
35. BE CAREFUL! Hot surfaces. The surfaces
become very hot during use.
