Time in hh.mm.ss that the adapter is given to attempt to join the
network after the "Join Key" and "Network Identification"
information has been entered correctly.
– When this time elapses, the WirelessHART Adapter continues
its attempt to join the network but with less intensity.

Join Mode
Way in which the WirelessHART Adapter joins the network:
• Do not attempt to join: do not join the network. The
parameters are saved.
• Join now: join the network now. Once the WirelessHART
Adapter has successfully joined the network, it automatically
switches to "Attempt to join immediately on power-up or
reset".
• Attempt to join immediately on power-up or reset: join as
soon as the device is restarted.

Execute Join
Pressing this button writes the parameters configured above to
the WirelessHART Adapter. These parameters are then used.
– If the "Join Mode" parameter is set to "Join now", the
WirelessHART Adapter attempts to join the network.
Join Status
Provides information about the current status when the adapter
is attempting to join the network.
• Network Packets Heard: network packets received.
• ASN Acquired: "Absolute Slot Number (ASN)" has been
received.
• Synchronized to Slot Time: synchronized with the network.
• Advertisement Heard: received advertising packets to send
data.
• Join Requested: requested to join network.
• Join Retrying: retry joining the network.
• Join Failed: attempt to join network has failed.
• Authenticated: authenticated
• Network Joined: adapter has joined the network
• Negotiating Network Properties: exchanging network

• Normal Operation Commencing: fully connected
Total Number of
Neighbors
Indicates the number of WirelessHART devices in the vicinity of
the adapter to which a connection has been made.
Number of Advertising
Packets Received
When the adapter joins the network, indicates the number of
advertising packets which were sent by the neighboring
devices and/or network managers and received by the
WirelessHART Adapter.
Number of Join Attempts
Indicates the number of attempts the WirelessHART Adapter
made to join the network
Active Advertising Shed
Time [hh.mm.ss]
Time in hh.mm.ss during which the WirelessHART Adapter
attempts to allow other adapters to join the network more
quickly.
