Connecting the measuring unit
3.11.1
Transmitter
#
Warning!
• Risk of electric shock.
Switch off the power supply before opening the device.
Do not
install or wire the device while it
is connected to the power supply. Failure to comply with this precaution can result in irreparable
damage to the electronics.
• Risk of electric shock.
Connect the protective earth to the ground connection on the housing before the power supply
is applied.
• Compare the specifications on the nameplate with the local supply voltage and frequency.
The national regulations governing the installation of electrical equipment also apply.
• The transmitter must be included in the general circuit protection system.
1.
Unscrew cover of the electronics compartment from the transmitter housing.
2.
Press the side latches and flip down the cover of the connection compartment.
3.
Feed the cable for the power supply and the signal cable through the appropriate cable entries.
4.
Remove the terminal connectors from the transmitter housing and connect the cable for the
power supply and the signal cable:

5.
Plug the terminal connectors back into the transmitter housing.

Note!
The connectors are coded so you cannot mix them up.
6.
Secure the ground cable to the ground terminal.
7.
Flip up the cover of the connection compartment.
8.
Screw the cover of the electronics compartment firmly onto the transmitter housing.
