Process conditions that go beyond the resistance range of the materials may shorten
the operating life of the materials and make maintenance necessary.
The sensor's spot cap can have either a c-shaped or u-shaped design.

10.3.1 Replacing sealing rings
It is compulsory to replace the sealing ring if it is visibly damaged. Only use original sealing
rings.
The following O-rings can be replaced:
• Sealing ring for shaft sleeve: item 4 → 1, 9
• Sealing ring towards process (conductive for Ex): item 7
