1.
Before opening the interface door,
extinguish the plasma from the software
by clicking on the [P
LASMA
] button on
the main toolbar or pressing [F4].
2.
Allow the interface to cool down for at
least five minutes before servicing the
sampler cone or wear heat-resistant
gloves.
3.
Insert the sampler cone tool into the
slots provided on the retaining ring.
4.
Turn the tool slightly counterclockwise.
The spring-loaded clips will click into the
holes provided.
5.
Rotate the tool further counterclockwise
until the retaining ring is free.
6.
The retaining ring may sometimes stick
into place due to repeated
heating/cooling cycles of plasma
operation.
If this is the case, use a large screwdriver
or similar tool to gain extra leverage on
the cone retainer tool.
