Fail Input
Fail 1: A short-circuit at the Fail 1 input will stop the running test
procedure. It is not possible to continue the same test.
Up to 10 test stops can be recorded. Each new stop will overwrite
the previous memory.
Fail 2: A short-circuit at the Fail 2 input will store the actual test data. The
test procedure will be continued normally.
The display indicates the number of Fail 2 events.
After the first Fail 2, the following events on the same test level are
ignored (for the actual selected dwell time).
After 10 Fail 2 events, the test procedure will stop automatically.
Selecting ”
“ will print a list of all Fail 1 and Fail 2 events.

Clipping
While testing using a calibration store, the output voltage of the CWS 500A
will be calculated using the data of this calibration store.
If the calculated voltage exceeds the limitations below, the display will
indicate ”CLIPPING“.
After the CWS 500A has clipped once, the display indicates ”CLIPPED“
until the end of the test.
Minimum voltage:
V
0min
= 0.7 Vrms (after the 6dB - attenuator)
Maximum voltage:
V
0max
= 30 Vrms (after the 6dB - attenuator)
