Security aspects
Tests with conducted RF-disturbances, induced by radio-frequency fields,
are immunity tests on electronic equipment. Therefore it is the responsibility
of the user to avoid critical failures and risks to the environment and the
operators.
Long and distributed lines of the EUT are able to radiate a certain energy to
their vicinity. Therefore it is also the responsibility of the user to decide
whether it is allowed to conduct immunity tests in a given installation.
The RF voltages on the center pin of the RF output connector can be
hazardous. The RF output connector must be connected to a load before
AC power is applied th the CWS 500 A. Do not touch with the center pin of
the RF output connector or accessories connected to it. Place the
equipment in a Test OFF condition before disconnecting or connecting the
load to the RF output connector.
Within this test RF-interference’s are generated with a power of up to 75W
or more. Therefore the test should be conducted in shielded rooms in order
to prevent influencing any other equipment operating in the neighborhood.
Please see also the information included in the declaration of conformity for
the CE mark.
For the test set-up, national and international specifications according to
safety must be considered.
Handicapped people, e.g. with a pacemaker,
must be excluded from testing.
