1.2. Power Supply
An AC power adapter is required to connect to
a wall outlet. Be sure only to use an adapter
with the appropriate AC voltage rating to
prevent component damage. A DC9V 1A
switching power adapter is used to power the
Control Panel.
Rechargeable Battery
In addition to the adapter, there is a
rechargeable
battery
inside
the
Control Panel that serves as a backup
in case of a power failure.
During normal operation, the AC
power adapter is used to supply
power to the Control Panel and at the
same time recharge the battery. It
takes approximately 72 hours to fully
charge the battery.
1.3. Insert GSM SIM Card
CR200 GPRS Control Panel features built-in
GSM module to report alarm or status event to
programed telephone/mobile number.
To Insert your SIM card:
Important:
Before inserting SIM card, make
sure to disable your SIM card password.
1. Unlock the SIM card base by sliding the
cover toward OPEN direction.
2. Spring open the SIM card slot and insert
your new SIM card.
3. Replace the SIM slot onto the base lightly.
4. Remember to lock the SIM card base by
sliding the cover toward LOCK direction.
1.4. Install the Control Panel
Locate a suitable position for the
Control Panel
The Control Panel requires an AC power
supply.
The Control Panel should be easily
accessible when entering/exiting your
home.
The Control Panel should not be visible
from outside of the premises.
The Control Panel should not be placed in
a damp place, such as a bathroom,
The Control Panel should not be placed
close to any heat source, such as
microwave ovens, which can reduce
signal strength,
The Control Panel should not be located
alongside other radio transmitting devices
such as mobile phones, cordless phone or
wireless computer network (WiFi) devices.
Important:
When drilling into a wall, ensure
that there are no hidden cables or pipes.
Mount the Control Panel
The Control Panel can be mounted on the wall
wherever desired. Ensure the Control Panel is
fitted at approximately chest height where the
display can be easily seen and the keypad
convenient to operate.
1. Using the 2 holes of the Wall Mounting
Cross Bracket as a template, mark off the
holes’ positions.
2. Drill 2 holes on the wall according to marked
position
3. Screw the Mounting Bracket on the wall.
4. Hook the Control Panel onto the Wall
Mounting Cross Bracket.
<IMPORTANT NOTE>
Battery switch is set to OFF by
factory default, please switch the
battery switch to ON after supply AC
power
to
the
Control
Panel,
otherwise the battery will not be
charged.
