2.3.2 Displays

2.3.2 Displays

The Euro-2500TX ECR has got one internal segment display for the customer. It is possible to connect two external displays 
to the ECR, either alphanumerical or segment LCD. As used, one of those is the cashier’s display. The second one needn’t to 
be used, but can be used as the secondary customer display.

Segment display

Segment display

The customer display consists of ten character in 96 LCD segments and is commonly backlit. The display is constructed as an 
independent PCB that contains the display itself, the back-light unit, and the display controller. Individual segment groups 
are activated usign the COM1 and COM2 signals. The display controller is the NJU6432B switchable controller with 54 seg-
ments. The controller is capable of controlling up to 104 segments.
