4.4 Reinstallation of the printer, printer PCB and the paper tape cutter
4.4 Reinstallation of the printer, printer PCB and the paper tape cutter
1) Separate the printer cover from the bottom case (see chapter 4.1).
2) Release four screws holding the printer PCB and the bottom ECR case as shown in the picture.
3) Pull out the printer PCB lightly.
4) In case you want to reinstall the printer PCB, disconnect all the connectors form this PCB that connect to the ECR.
5) In case you want to reinstall the paper tape cutter, disconnect its connector and pull out the cutter.
6) In case you want to reinstall the printer, disconnect all its connectors from the printer PCB (if the paper tape cutter
is installed, remove it first as shown in step 5, then continue)
7) Release the screws holding the printer to the bottom ECR case and pull it out.
Note: ECR disassembly shall be performed only when the ECR is turned off and the external power adapter is disconnected.
Caution: The wiring of the connectors for individual devices is tied together from practical and aesthetical reasons. Do not
forget to untie the wiring prior the disassembly and tie it together afterwards.
Mounting the new printer PCB:
1) Connect correctly all the connectors from the printer, paper tape cutter (if installed) and the connector from the
main PCB.
2) Place the printer PCB in its place and tighten all the fixing screws.
3) Mount the printer cover (chapter 4.1)
Mounting the new paper tape cutter:
1) Re-solder the cutter connector, if needed.
2) Put the new paper tape cutter in place and make sure that there is jumper placed on third position in the jumper
array “ARRAYSWITCH” on the main PCB.
3) Plug the cutter connector (CUTTER) into the printer PCB.
4) Put the printer PCB into place and tighten all the fixing screws.
5) Mount the printer cover (chapter 4.1).
Mounting the new printer:
1) Re-solder the printer connector, if needed.
2) Fix the new printer in its place using screws.
3) Place the paper tape cutter using the reverse action as
shown in the picture.
4) Connect the paper tape cutter connector (CUTTER)
and the printer connectors (printing head connec-
tor onto PRINTHEAD, paper tape detector for re-
ceipt printer onto LEFTSENZ and journal printer
onto RIGHTSENZ, motor connector for receipt
printer onto LEFTMOT and journal printer onto
RIGHTMOT) to the printer PCB.
5) Place the printer PCB into place and tighten
all the fixing screws.
6) Mount the printer cover (chapter 4.1).
