4. Assembly
4.1. Fitting the control lever and hand guards
(Fig. 3-6)
Remove the securing splint pins (Fig. 3/Item 15),
bolts (Fig. 4/Item 16) and washers (Fig. 4/Item 17)
from the holders. Push the hand guards and control
lever, as shown in Figure 5, from the front into the
mount so that the ends of the control lever (Fig.
5/Item A) project through the recesses provided for it
in the control rod (Fig. 5/Item B) (Fig. 5). Fasten the
hand guards with the bolts which you previously
removed (Fig. 5/Item 16). The washers (Fig. 5/Item
17) provide a point of support and should be placed
between the hand guard and the base plate as shown
in Fig. 5. Then secure the bolts with the securing
splint pins (Fig. 6/Item 15).
4.2. Fitting the trunk holding plates (Fig. 7-8)
Push the trunk holding plates (Fig. 2/Item 11) through
the guide slots in the hand guards, as shown in Figure
7. As you do this, ensure that the oval holes in the
trunk holding plates line up with the securing holes in
the hand guards. Secure them with the fastening set
(Fig. 2/Item 13) as shown in Fig. 8. The trunk holding
plates can now be adjusted to the trunk thickness
using the oval holes.
4.3 Fitting the trunk support (Fig. 9-10)
The trunk support can be installed at three different
heights (Fig. 2):
Position A: Max. log length 520 mm
Position B: Max. log length 780 mm
Position C: Max. log length 1040 mm
There are three attachment devices at different
heights on the wood splitter for this purpose. To use
the trunk support, the locking levers on the
appropriate attachment device must be moved
upwards (Fig. 9) so that they are vertical (Fig. 24).
The trunk support must then be pushed into the
attachment device from the front and secured by
returning the locking levers to their original positions
(Fig. 10).
In addition, you can also limit the lifting height of the
splitter. To do so, turn the machine off and slacken
the star screw (Fig. 12/Item 12) by 2-3 turns, then
raise the limit bar to the required height and affix in
position by tightening the star screw (Fig. 12/Item 12).
