Operation of EFAS – Workshop
This section describes how to enter the PIN after inserting
a workshop card. For more information about making
entries with the workshop card, refer to the EFAS Workshop
Manual.
This section is composed of the following sections:
• Performing a test run
• Entering the PIN
Danger
When driving, the digital tachograph EFAS
may display messages.
Do not be distracted by these. Pay full attention to the road at all
times.
Danger
Do not insert the tachograph card when driving. Do not operate
the digital tachograph when driving. You may be distracted from
the road and cause accidents.
Danger
Keep the printer slot closed when driving, otherwise you could be
injured by sudden movements of the vehicle.
4.1
Performing a Test Run
It is also possible to perform test runs of the vevicle with
your workshop card. Make sure that the workshop card is in
the left-hand card slot. Before and after a test run the same
entries are required as for a driver card. For more informa-
tion, see the section "Operation of EFAS – Driver and Co-
Driver" on page 24.

Entering the PIN
Note
Always ensure to enter the correct PIN.After five incorrect PIN
entries, the workshop card is locked.
1. Insert your workshop card into the left-hand card slot.
The card data will be read and shortly after you will be
asked to enter your PIN.
2. Use cursor keys

to change the displayed char-
acter.
3. Press
OK
to adopt the character.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all the characters in your
PIN.
5. Press
OK
to adopt the entered PIN.

6. If you are uncertain of your PIN entry, you may
cancel?
