Accessing PS-17 options through the printer
control panel
You can access some of the PS-17 options through the printer control panel, including many of the configuration
options.
Access PS-17 Setup options from the printer control panel
You can use the Setup feature on the printer control panel to perform initial setup.

Make sure that the PS-17 is not printing or processing files.

On the printer control panel, press the
Home
button.

Press the
Fiery
logo.
The PS-17 tabs appear.

Press the
Info
tab.

To access the configuration options, press
Server Setup
.

If you have not already logged in, log on with Administrator privileges: Select Administrator, enter the password,
and click
Login
.
Note:
The Administrator login automatically times out after the time interval specified in setup. If the timeout
message displays, press
OK
.
After viewing or changing any settings on the tabs you can return to the home screen by pressing
Cancel
or
Save
Changes
.
Pressing
Save Changes
displays a dialog asking if you want to reboot the PS-17 or return to
Setup
. If preferred,
you can return to setup and reboot later. Changes are not implemented until the system is rebooted.
Server Name
Sets the name of the PS-17 on the network (15 characters maximum). Only alphanumeric characters and the hyphen
are allowed.
Note:
If you set up more than one PS-17, do not assign them the same name.
IPv4 Address Type
Choose whether to allow the PS-17 to obtain its Ethernet IP address automatically by searching the network
