1000BASE-T does not support forced mode. Auto-negotiation should
always be used to establish a connection over any 1000BASE-T port or
trunk.

When auto-negotiation is enabled the switch will negotiate the best
settings for a link based on the
negotiation is disabled, you must manually specify the link attributes
with the
commands.
◆
If auto-negotiation is disabled, auto-MDI/MDI-X pin signal configuration
will also be disabled for the RJ-45 ports.
