WARNING!
The products must be kept away from harmful envi-
ronments. This includes contact with corrosive and aggressive
substances (e.g. acids, alkalis, soldering water, oils, cleaning
agents), as well as extreme temperatures and flying sparks.
In addition, sharp edges, wetness and icing can diminish the
stability of textiles!
CLIMATE REQUIREMENTS
The safe constant temperature range for the product (in dry
conditions) ranges from approx. -30°C to +60°C.
LIFESPAN AND REPLACEMENT
The lifespan of the product depends mainly on the frequency
and the way in which it is used and external influences.
MAXIMUM LIFESPAN
under optimal storage conditions (see
section on storage) and without use: 12 years
OCCASIONAL USE
Occasional and appropriate use without obvious wear and tear
and with optimal storage: 8 years. Commercial use can reduce
the life span to less than 2 years.
FREQUENT OR EXTREME USE, CATCH LOAD
Following a fall load (fall factor > 1) or in the event of damage,
the Personal Protection Equipment product should be with-
drawn from use immediately and returned to an expert or the
manufacturer for detailed inspection and possible repair. An
account of the fall or events leading to the damage should be
included.
INSPECTION
The product must be regularly inspected and maintained on a
yearly basis or earlier if necessary, by the manufacturer or an
authorised testing centre.
In the process, it must be ensured among other things that the
product labelling is legible.
Once the above-mentioned 8 years period of use has been
exceeded, the personal protection equipment product must be
withdrawn from further use. Commercial use can reduce the
life span to less than 2 years.
The pulley should be checked for damage (i.e. cracks in the
housing, one sided rolling, damage to the rolling element, un-
obstructed movement)
STORAGE, TRANSPORT AND CARE
STORAGE:
Temperature for permanent storage is approx. –10 °C to +30 °C,
dry.
Avoid contact with chemicals (caution: battery acid!) or corrosive
substances.
TRANSPORT:
The product must be kept away from chemicals.
CLEANING:
Clean soiled products in lukewarm water (if necessary, use pH
neutral soap). Rinse well. Dry at room temperature, never use
a tumble drier or dry close to radiators! If necessary, halo-
gen-free commercial disinfectants may be used.
If required, metal joints and parts must be cleaned regularly and
lubricated with acid-free oil or a lubricant based on Teflon or
silicone.
