Installing an Optional Remote Monitor Panel II
To install RMP II wiring:
1.
Verify the UPS system is turned off and all power sources are removed. See
Chapter 7, “UPS Operating Instructions,” for shutdown instructions.
2.
Perform the procedure listed in paragraph 5.1.
NOTE
If mounting to a hollow wall, secure the enclosure to a wood or metal stud within the wall. Do not
use hollow wall anchors.
3.
Securely mount the RMP II at the desired location. See Figure 5‐12 for mounting
hole locations.
NOTE
When installing signal wiring for CAN card J3 terminals, conduit must be installed between the
device and the UPS cabinet.
4.
Remove the ISBM cabinet top right interface conduit landing plate to drill or
punch conduit holes (see Figure 4‐5).
5.
Reinstall the conduit landing plate.
6.
Install conduit between the UPS and RMP II. See Figure 5‐12 for RMP II
knockout hole location.
7.
Install wiring between the UPS and RMP II. See Figure 5‐2 and Table 5‐1 for the
Hot Sync CAN Bridge Card terminal location and wiring information, and
Figure 5‐7, Figure 5‐8, and Table 5‐5 for the RMP II terminal location and wiring
information.
NOTE
120 Vac for the RMP II should be supplied from the critical bus by facility planners or the customer.

Close the front door and secure the latch.
10.
Restart the UPS. See Chapter 7, “UPS Operating Instructions,” for startup
instructions.
