These base-plate-to-FAA L-867 base attachment bolts are available from Crouse-Hinds
Airport Lighting. Base surfaces and their mounting holes must be degreased, clean and
dry prior to bolt installation. Bolt threads should be fully coated with anti-seize (marine
grade preferred) that has a K value (torque coefficient) of 0.18. (If an anti-seize with
anything but a K value of .18 is used, the torque range must be recalculated.) With
K=.18, these bolts should be torqued to 225 in-lb +10%/-0 (25.42 +10%/-0 N-m).
Base Plate Fastening Hardware
For external power cable option; 3/8-16” hex head bolts are needed. These bolts are required for
installing the external power cord base.
