Power supply
This keyboard can be powered with a standard domestic
outlet (using the specified AC adaptor) or with batteries.
USING THE AC ADAPTOR
Make sure to only use the specified type of adaptor with this
keyboard. The adaptor must have a 12V CC, 1000mA output
and a positive central pin. Make sure the keyboard is turned
off before connecting the AC adaptor in the wall outlet and its
supply cord to the unit.
USING BATTERIES
Make sure the keyboard is switched off before inserting new
batteries or replacing the old ones.
Inserting the Batteries
1. Open the battery holder located under the keyboard.
2. Insert 8 D-size (SUM1, R-20) in the battery holder making
sure you respect the polarity.
3. Put the battery cover back on and make sure it is closed
correctly.
Signs indicating discharged batteries
Any of the following symptoms signals that the batteries are
discharged. Replace batteries as soon as possible when one
of these events occurs.
• The LCD is dim and difficult to read.
• Abnormally low volume from the loudspeakers or the
headphones.
• Distorted sound.
• Sudden drop in power while playing at high volume.
• Anomalous playback of rhythms and demo songs.
• Dimming of the display while playing at high volume.
CAUTION!
• Use only the specified AC adaptor. Using another type of
adaptor can cause risks of fire or electric shock.
• For security reasons, unplug the AC adaptor from the wall
outlet when the electronic keyboard is left unattended for
an extended period of time.
CAUTION!
• Respect polarity when inserting the batteries.
• Never mix different types of batteries.
• Never mix old and new batteries.
• Replace batteries as soon as possible when you observe
signs of discharging.
• Always take the batteries out of the instrument when it is
not to be used for an extended period of time.
setting up the music stand
The music stand
can be set up as follows:

headphones Jack
• If you prefer to play the keyboard with headphones for
high quality personal monitoring, plug a set of stereo
headphones in the PHONES jack located on the rear panel.
• Plugging in a set of headphones into the PHONES jack will
automatically deactivate the speakers.
NOTE: Never use headphones at high volume as it may
damage your hearing.
sustain jack
• An optional footswitch can be plugged into the SUSTAIN
jack for sustain control.
• The footswitch functions like the damper pedal on a piano.
Using the footswitch will give a sustain effect to all notes
played on the keyboard, the sound will return to normal
when the footswitch is released.
usB Port
• Use this USB port to connect a PC or other USB host
devices that support USB audio communication.
• For devices using USB cables, once the driver is installed
and setup is complete, you can then select USB Audio
Device in the Device menu of the software to transfer MIDI
data.
WARNING!
To avoid causing damage to the unit or to any of the
devices that may be connected to it, make sure you switch
off the unit and all the devices prior to connecting or
disconnecting cables.
