Chapter 4 Maintenance
4.1 Self Diagnosis and Automatic Adjustment
The Model HALO RB-10 spectrophotometer is capable of executing self-diagnosis
and automatic adjustment immediately after the power switch is turned on. For
details, refer to chapter 3.
4.2 Confirmation of Specifications
4.2.1 Wavelength Accuracy
Switch the Light Source Mirror to D2 Lamp side.
(1) Select Wavelength Scan from the Main Menu and set the measurement
conditions with the Wavelength Scan displayed as shown in the below.
START WL (nm)
660.0
STOP WL (nm)
650.0
Upper Limit
100.0
Lower Limit 0.00
Scan Speed (nm/min) 100
(2) Make sure that no sample is placed in the sample compartment, and then
press Start/Stop key to measure spectra. Upon completion of the
measurement, select <2 PEAKS> to detect each peak. If the detected peak is
within a range of 655.7 to 656.6 nm, it is normal.
If the peak is over the scale limit, change the existing <Upper Limit> to display
the spectrum. If the peak is not within the abovementioned range, perform the
<Wavelength Calibration> again, and repeat the above procedure to make
sure that the peak is within the specified scale range.
4.2.2 Spectrum Band Width
Use the spectrum bandwidth function under the GMP/GLP program.
4.2.3 Check for Baseline Flatness
Use the baseline bandwidth function under the GMP/GLP program.
4.3 Periodic Inspection
