Select a Veer Compensation value so that the wheelchair does not veer when
the joystick is pushed directly forwards or backwards. If the wheelchair veers
right, press ‘LEFT’; if the wheelchair veers left, press ‘RIGHT’.

Use an ammeter to measure the current to each drive motor. Select a Veer
Compensation value so that the current to the left drive motor is equal to the
current to the right drive motor when the wheelchair is driven in a straight line.
Use the SLM Veer Compensation to correct any veer.
Selecting the correct value will require experimentation. Adjust the Veer
Compensation value then test drive the wheelchair.

be set to the manufacturer’s recommended value for the wheelchair type to be used
in the DX System.
