4.2 Installing the pressure-reducing valve
A pressure-reducing valve comes with the water softener and should be
provided to you. This is located in the salt tank.
The arrows on the water line connection box show you the direction of water
flow.

Install the pressure-reducing valve according to the instruction manual provided with it (see positioning and setting)
after the inlet valve (1) (p 10 et p 11 c.1.)
b. Remove the protective caps from the inlet and outlet of the softener.
c. Connect the lower hose to the pressure-reducing valve and the upper hose to valve 3 / to the installation.
c.2.2 Assembly
c.2.2.1. Items in the bypass kit (included in the salt tan
- Bypass valve (1)
- 2 60 cm M1” - F3/4” stainless steel hoses (2)
- 2 ¾” flat rubber gaskets (3)
- 2 fixing clamps (4)
- 2 self-tapping screws (5)
c.2.2.2. Tools required
- An 8-combination wrench (use a long wrench if possible)
- Philips head screwdriver PH2
c.2.2.3. Assembly procedure
1.
Connect the hoses to the bypass valve and seal with Teflon or hemp.
2.
Remove the red transport caps from the softener.
3.
Fit the bypass valve on the bypass block.
4.
Place the mounting clamps on it. Place the tip of the clamp in
the bypass block housing provided for this purpose. Tighten the
self-tapping screws to keep the clamp in place. Put the second
mounting clamp on and tighten the screw. Screw the two selftapping
screws fully closed.
5.
Connect the two installation hoses by placing the ¾ rubber gaskets.
6.
Set the valve to bypass position.
7.
Open the water meter. Check for leaks from hoses.
8.
Gradually open the bypass valve and check that the assembly is watertight.
