4.27.7 Tape feeder and automatic cutter

The electromotive, length-controlled tape feeder with automatic cutter 
transports the reinforcement strip under the pocket opening and cuts it off 
at the seam end.

The process is carried out during the cycle time. No further positioning and 
working times are required.

Inserting the reinforcement strip

To insert the reinforcement strip:

1. Loosen the locking lever (6) and pull the washer (5) off to the side.
2. Insert the tape roll as shown above.
3. Place the washer (5) and tighten the locking lever (6).

Ensure that the tape roll is clamped securely.

4. Feed the reinforcement strip (4) from bottom to top through the advanc-

ing device (3).
