To slide back the hood:
1. Switch off the machine.
2. Slide the hood (1) to the back.
 You can now access the transport clamps.
3. Slide the hood (1) back to the front until it locks audibly into place.

To disassemble the fabric sliding plate:
For machines with shims
1. Move the shims out of the throat plate area.
• Press back the pedal for more than 1 second OR
• Press the Shim button on the start screen (only possible if
active in the software, 
p. 187
)
 The transport clamp along with the shims moves out of the throat
plate area.
2. Lift the fabric sliding plate (2) off the pin (3) and swing it out to the left.
3. Lift the fabric sliding plate (2) at the pin (4).
