Stop! Read Safety information above.
1.
Set thermostat to lowest setting.
2.
Turn off all electric power to the appliance.
3.
This appliance is equipped with an ignition device which
automatically lights the burner. DO NOT try to light the
burner by hand.
4.
Remove the front jacket panel.
5.
Turn the gas control knob clockwise
to “OFF”.
6.
Wait
fi
ve (5) minutes to clear out any gas. Then smell
for gas, including near the
fl
oor. If you smell gas,
STOP! Follow “B” in the safety information above on
this label. If you don’t smell gas go on to next step.
7.
Turn the gas control knob counterclockwise
to
“ON”.
8.
Replace front jacket panel.
9.
Turn on all electrical power to the appliance.
10.
Set the thermostat to desired setting.
11.
If the appliance will not operate, follow the instructions
“To Turn Off Gas To Appliance” and call your service
technician or gas supplier.
To Turn Off Gas To Appliance
1.
Set the thermostat to lowest setting.
2.
Turn off all electric power to the appliance if service is
to be preformed.
3.
Remove the front jacket panel.
4.
Turn gas control knob clockwise
to “OFF”.
5.
Replace the front jacket panel.

for gas. Be sure to smell next to

some gas is heavier than air and will settle to the

oor.
• Use only your hand to turn the gas shutoff
valve
. Never use tools. If valve will not turn
by hand, do not try to repair it, call a quali
fi
ed
service technician. Force or attempted repair may
result in
fi
re or explosion.
• Do not use this appliance if any part has
been under water.
Immediately call a quali
fi
ed
service technician to inspect appliance and to
replace any part of control system and any gas
control which has been under water.
