h. Install the sealing washers (15) and socket head screws (16).
i. Install the hole plug (52) back into the motor (1).
15. Apply a generous amount of
Mobilgrease XHP 462
to the thrust washers (24) and thrust bearings (25) and assemble
them over the bearing journal of the spacer nut (27).
16. Install the thrust bearing (36) onto the dowel pin (37), and then apply a generous amount of
Mobilgrease XHP 462
to
the dowel pin (37).
17. Install the intermediate cluster gear (38) onto the dowel pin (37) and then install the second thrust washer (36) onto
the dowel pin (37).
18. Pack the housing (1) gearbox cavity with
Mobilgrease XHP 462
, taking care to pack the gear teeth with grease.
19. Insert the dowel pins (39) in the housing (1).
20. Place the gasket (40) (the glue side towards the control housing) on the controls housing assembly (41).
21. Install the controls housing assembly (41) onto the housing (1). Note the following during the installation process:
a. Adjust the encoder shaft (not shown) to align with the slot in the end of the screw (18).
b. Feed the motor (10) lead wires through the hole in the controls housing assembly (41), taking care not to pinch
the wires.
c. Install the five lock washers (43) and socket head cap screws (42).
22. Install the gasket (44), with the glue side towards the cover cap assembly (45). Install the dowel pins (39) into the
cover cap assembly (45).
23. Make all wiring connections per the wiring diagrams as supplied in this manual.
24. Install the cover cap assembly (45) onto the controls housing (41), taking care not to pinch any wires.
25. Install the seven lock washers (47) and socket button head cap screws (46).
ASSEMBLY IS NOW COMPLETE.

Before fully seating the control housing assembly (41) to the housing (1),
make sure the encoder shaft is correctly oriented with the corresponding slot
in the screw (18). If the encoder shaft is not correctly aligned, rotate it until
achieving proper alignment. Failure to do so will result in damage to the
encoder.
