Remove the head assembly from the engine by lifting it off the engine stud bolts.
Remove the cylinder head gaskets (C).

Removal of the rocker arms, shims and valves

Remove the clip (1) securing the opening rocker (3).
Move the rocker arm (3) to free the valve opening shim (6).
