Controller Configuration in Controller Page
The Controller page is displayed by clicking the Controller Tab in the SVI Configuration window. A typi-
cal Controller page is shown below (figure 54). This page allows the user to choose and set startup
mode, initial setpoint, controller period, PV and SP units, and controller action. More controller parame-
ters are configured through the Controller Parameters window, which can be accessed through the Set
Param. button in the Controller Monitor window.
When power is applied to SVI (after being off longer than 3 seconds) the SVI will perform a "cold start"
where its memory is restored from parameters stored in non-volatile memory. This option determines
the initial controller mode after start up.
•
Startup Local:
This option sets the controller in local mode after SVI startup.
•
Startup Remote:
This places the controller in remote mode after SVI startup.
•
Startup Last Mode:
This sets the controller in the mode that was in before power was lost.
•
Local Only:
This option allows the controller function only in local mode anytime. When
controller is configured in this mode, you can not switch the controller to remote mode. In this
configuration, the +/- input terminals on SVI serve as the power source for the SVI device.
