Valve Signature Window - Button Descriptions

SAVE Button:
Click this button to save the current signature in the SVI as the saved
signature and override the previous saved signature. It will then be available for comparison
to future signatures. Only one signature may be saved at a time (in addition to the factory
signature).

SAVE FACT. Button:
Click this button to save the current signature in the SVI as the factory
signature and override the previous factory signature. This should generally only be used
when the SVI is first mounted on the valve. To save a signature to the Factory memory
location in SVI, the user must be logged on with a privilege level of 9.

Exit Button:
Click this button to exit the Valve Signature window and return to the main
Diagnostics window.
Extended Actuator Signature
The extended actuator signature test is run over the user-specified range of valve travel. The minimum
range is 10%. The positions may range from -5% to 105% with the ranges outside of 0-100 providing
data from atmosphere pressure to supply pressure.
To obtain an extended actuator signature, follow these steps:
1. Select

in the Type list box.
2. Enter a value in
Start Position (%)
box
3. Enter a value in
End Position (%)
box
4. Enter a value between 1 and 9 in
Speed
5. Click the
Extended
button to begin test.
6. Read the warning message from a pop up window and click
OK
button to continue.
7. Wait until the test is finished.
