4.5.13 Leak Test with Mask
1. Fasten lower part of test head to table using a screw clamp
or screws.
2. Attach test head to bottom part and turn until it snaps into
place.
3. Connect test hose with the Dräger RZ 7000 using adaptor.
(For Dräger Test-it 6100 also connect with adaptor R50028.)
4. Moisten the sealing frame on inside with water and fit onto the
test head.
5. Tighten the neck straps uniformly.
6. Tighten the temple straps uniformly.
7. If necessary, also tighten the front strap.
8. Connect the facepiece with the mask. While doing so, make
sure the breathing hoses of the closed-circuit breathing
apparatus are not bent or kinked.
9. Set the selector switch on the test unit to
.
10. Pull the open side of the protective cap over the pressure
relief valve tappet and hold. Pump until the protective cap is
secured by the filled breathing bag.
11. Continue pumping until at least 9 ±0.2 mbar have been
reached.
12. Set selector switch on the test unit to
and wait 2 to 3
minutes until the pressure in the system has stabilised.
13. Then reduce the pressure in the test unit with the venting
switch to approx. 8 ±0.2 mbar and wait until the pressure has
stabilised.
14. Press the
button briefly to start the timer. The pressure
difference may not be greater than 0.5 mbar in one minute.
15. Set the selector switch on the test unit to
and remove
the protective cap.
16. Disconnect test hose from the Dräger RZ 7000 adapter. (For
Dräger Test-it 6100 also unscrew adaptor R50028.)
17. Disconnect facepiece from mask.
18. Remove mask from test head.
19. Fit the protective cap onto the mask connecting piece.
20. Switch off the Bodyguard and check the battery charge status
(see section 4.5.12 on page 66).
21. Close the protective cover of the closed-circuit breathing
apparatus (see section 3.3.1 on page 51).
