4.2.3
Checking the oxygen content
Before the dive, check the oxygen content in the mixed gas with an oxygen meter.
Observe the relevant regulations regarding the purity of breathing gases. Only use
pure oxygen for medical purposes and air according to EN 12021 for the production
of mixed gases.
Work equipment
– Rebreather
– Test case
1. Switch on the oxygen measuring instrument and put it into operation in
accordance with the corresponding instructions for use. Plug the sensor into the
plug-in connector in the test case.
2. Read the oxygen content on the oxygen meter and compare with the selected
gas mixture. The oxygen content of each mixture must be within ±1 Vol% of the
indicated value.

Preparing the CO
2
absorber
4.3.1 Removing
the
CO
2
absorber
1. Remove the protective cover on the carrying side of the device by unhooking the
side flaps.
2. Loosen the tension strap fastening on the CO
2
absorber and turn the CO
2
absorber slightly so that the connections on the breathing bags are easier to
release.
3. Remove breathing bag 2. To do this, press the 3 green buttons one after the
other and disconnect the connections.
4. Remove breathing bag 1. Press the 3 red buttons one after the other and
disconnect the connections.
5. Lift the CO
2
absorber out of the rebreather, position it upright and then open it.
4.3.2 Filling
the
CO
2
absorber with disposable cartridge
Do not unpack and insert the disposable cartridge until immediately before use. The
filled CO
2
absorber must not be stored uninstalled.

1. Press down the cover of the CO
2
absorber.
