Direction of travel for pen
not set correctly
The direction of travel for a
pen is the direction looking
down at the top of the
cartridge from the back
(where the connector is
located). The label of the
cartridge should be facing
away from you as you look
at the top.
Target too far from pen
while printing
The maximum distance for
printing is approximately
1/8” (3mm). Any farther any
the drops will begin to
diverge, causing the print to
appear blurred.
Transport moving too fast
The maximum speed for
the transport is 333 ft/min
(at 300 DPI). The speed of
the transport is shown while
printing on the print screen.
Printer stops while printing
Print controller stopped
responding
If a print controller is
powered down, loses
connectivity or otherwise
fails, the printer will stop.
Pen cartridge fails
If any of the pens that were
connected at print start
fails, an error code will be
printed and printing will
stop.
