7.2 Discriminating sensors

Number
: Enter a number that the system will use to identify each sensor. This number cannot be
shared between two different types of sensors. For example, it is not possible to configure On/Off
sensor Number 1 and Discriminating sensor Number 1.

Enabled
: If this button is highlighted, then the sensor is thought of as in operation in the system. If the
button is not selected, then the sensor is not in operation and there will be no alarms related with the
sensor operation.

Sensor type
: Select the type of sensor:
n
Internal On/Off
: Exd sensors connected to the CN10 connector of LX console.
n
Maglink I/O
: I.S sensors connected to the I/O module.

Name
: Enter a name for the sensor.
l
Position 1
: This is the slot position on the CN10 connector or on the I/O sensor board for the
product

Relay 1
: Select this option if a relay should be started when the product alarm is caused. If no external
relays have been configured in the
System Settings/Site Info
menu, then it will not be possible to
select an external relay in this menu.

Position 2
: This is the slot position on the CN10 connector or on the I/O sensor board for the
water

Relay 2
: Select this option if a relay should be started when the product alarm is caused. If no external
relays have been configured in the
System Settings/Site Info
menu, then it will not be possible to
select an external relay in this menu.

Alarm status
: Select the status of the sensor at which the alarm is caused:

Open
: For normally open sensors, the alarm will trigger when the sensor contact closes.
n
Closed
: For normally closed sensors, the alarm will trigger when the sensor contact opens.
l
Location
: Enter the location of the sensor (for reporting purposes only).
