Every DOUZE Cycles rider is unique. Your cargo bike has been designed
to be used in daily life, whether for business or for pleasure. So it is
imperative to adjust your G4 to your body shape for optimal comfort
and safety. Your Retailer or DOUZE Cycles Technical Centre will help you
to carry out such adjustments at the time of servicing your cargo bike.
These can be refined during the first mandatory servicing.
Adjusting the saddle height
Proper adjustment is made by positioning the pedal in the lower po-
sition. When you place your heel on the pedal, your leg should be
extended without being rigid. Adjustments are made by loosening the
screw of the clip with a 5 mm Allen key (Fig-1). Once the height has
been adjusted, tighten the screw to the recommended torque that you
will find in the torque settings.
For your safety, do not exceed the exit limit of the
seat post, as indicated on the seat tube by the mar-
king “MIN Insert”.
Adjusting the saddle
The saddle clamp allows adjustment of the slope and the height in
order to suit its position to your body shape and your way of riding bikes
(Fig-2). Neutral configuration is obtained with the saddle horizontal and
the clamping in the centre. The height of the saddle can be adjusted
according to the length of the femur.
Adjusting the height of the handlebars
Your DOUZE G4 is supplied with an adjustable steering column over a
height of 100 mm, variable without needing any tools by means of a
quick clamping system(Fig-3). This allows you to change your riding
position according to your body shape, habits and loads.
Adjusting the brake levers
So that the brake levers fall directly under the fingers and reduce the
braking reaction time, the proper position of the levers lies within the
extension range of your forearms.
