6.0 MAINTENANCE
6.1 DISCONNECTING THE MACHINE
Before performing any type of maintenance or repairs, the machine must be disconnected from the
power supply (see 3.7 STOP FUNCTIONS).
6.2 SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
When performing maintenance or repair work, the following warnings should be observed:
►
Do not use solvents and inflammable materials.
►
At the end of the work, restore normal operating conditions.
6.3 CLEANING
The machine should be cleaned completely at regular intervals (depending on the intensity and fre-
quency of use), focusing on the parts where chips and sawdust may deposit. Avoid the accumulation
of significant quantities of sawdust in the working area, as this may hinder operations and is readily
flammable.
Before performing the cleaning operations, the operator must wear suitable perso-
nal protective equipment (see 3.10 SAFETY SIGNS).
Do not use the hands to clean the workbench when the machine is on.
6.4 LUBRICATION
Periodically (depending on the intensity and frequency of operation), lubricate the outside surface of
the wedge support column with mineral oil.
►
SF110
- If necessary, abundantly grease the wedge guide groove so that this can slide smoothly,
preventing wear on the metal parts.
6.5 MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
The operations described below must be performed at the specified intervals.
The manufacturer will
accept no claims under warranty if these requirements are not observed.
Routine maintenance includes the inspections, checks and operations that, to prevent stoppages and
faults, systematically keep the following under control:
►
lubrication of the machine;
►
condition of parts subject to wear.
6.5.1 CHECKS
Whenever starting work
►
Visually check the general condition of the machine.
►
The hydraulic oil tank is airtight and doesn’t require level control; in the event of
leaks, after replacing the damaged component, remove the cap 1 Fig. 12 and add new AGIP SP
7735 - 7736 oil or equivalent until reaching the right level:
►
SF60-80
- to the edge of the hole the cap is screwed into (1 Fig. 12),
►
SF81-100-110
- until touching the rod under the cap (2 Fig. 12).
