7.2.2. Instructions for Authorized Maintenance, Repair or Alterations
7.2.2.1.
Heating hoses replacement
•
Tools needed: Screwdriver, metric wrenches
•
Parts needed: hoses, clamps, wires
•
Type of maintenance: Line
•
Level of Certification needed:
-
Repairman (LS-M) or Mechanic (A&P) – both with the minimum level of certification to
perform heavy maintenance of SLSA in the U.S.
-
FAA approved Part 145 Repair station
•
Instructions:
1. Remove the engine cowlings, release hoses complexes, dismantle clamps
2. Change hoses for new ones, install strip clamps
3. Attach hoses
4. Install the engine cowlings

Task proper accomplishment check: Verify if all the clamps are firmly locked to the hoses.
7.3.
VENTILATION SYSTEM
7.3.1. Description
Ventilation in the aircraft is provided by the sliding ventilation windows on each side of the canopy.
