3.5.2.7.
Bleeding
•
Tools needed: Screwdriver, Metric Wrench set, plastic bottle for outgoing brake fluid,
•
Parts needed: brake fluid
•
Type of maintenance: Line
−
Repairman (LS-M) or Mechanic (A&P) – both with the minimum level of certification to
perform heavy maintenance of SLSA in the U.S.
−
FAA approved Part 145 Repair station
•
Instructions:
1. Open the central panel C - according to 1.6.4
2. Check maximum level of brake fluid
3. Push back repeatedly on the braking lever and setup the lever in parking position
4. Slowly open bleeding screw, outgoing brake fluid with air bubbles put down in the plastic
bottle
5. Tighten the screw
6. Repeat several times: 2 - 5
7. close the central panel, install parking T grip

Task proper accomplishment check: check braking function

If the brake efficiency remains unsatisfactory after bleeding or if the pedal motion is excessive, fill with brake
fluid and bleed the system again. Continue until all the air is out of the system.
