Shutting Down and Restarting the System

Up to One Month
For periods of more than 2 hours, and up to one month, first follow the steps
described above and then do the following:

Take the instrument out of operate.
In the MSQ Tune window, click on the Toggle Operate button. The
button will turn from green to gray and the text will change from
“On” to “Off.”
Switch off the PC monitor.
Leave the remainder of the system running with the MSQ under vacuum.
Note.
Leave the MSQ under vacuum during the switching of ionization
modes and basic maintenance procedures. It is good working practice not to
vent the instrument unless non-routine maintenance is being carried out.
