Operational Introduction
This Introduction is intended to get you started and using the DVR-810 as quickly as possible. Even with
its advanced functionality, the DVR-810 is very easy to operate and in most cases will not require any
further setup. This section assumes that you have already connected your DVR-810 to your TV monitor
and/or Entertainment System. If not, please refer to the preceding section on “
Installation and Setup
”
together with any information related to other equipment in your system.
Once you are familiar the basic operation of the DVR-810 and want to explore the extended features,

section of this manual.
Using the STBY Button
The STBY (Standby) button is used to switch the DVR-810 into a low power operational mode. If while
recording, or in the event that any scheduled recordings have been set, the DVR-810 will continue to
operate normally. In all cases video and audio outputs are switched OFF.
