Task 4:
Connect the Cables

After the RouteAbout Access EW has been installed in the DEChub 900
MultiSwitch, complete the following steps to connect the cables (refer to
Figure 2-10):

Attach the serial cable to Port 1 of the RouteAbout Access EW.

2

Verify the operation of each port by sending information to it.
The LED associated with the port will flash to indicate network
activity.

3

If the module will not be configured through a hub manager,
connect the console using an RS232 MJ8 connector.
