NOTE:
Do not use both ThinWire and twisted pair connectors
simultaneously.

Connect the serial cables to Ports 1 or 2 of the RouteAbout
Access EW. Refer to Table D-3 in Appendix D to determine
which cable is correct for your network environment.

Verify the operation of each port by sending information to it.
The LED associated with the port will flash to indicate
network activity.

Connect the console cable using the MJ8 connector. Use the
H-8584-AC adapter if necessary.

After successful installation and power-up, configuration
information will appear on the console monitor, including
questions about your network topology. Refer to Chapter 3,
RouteAbout Access EW Set-Up, for further guidance on how to
set up your module.
Upon completion of the configuration mode setup, the Module
OK LED and the Network Activity LED will light.
