Because the LocalTalk and SerialB channels share the same connector, they
cannot be used at the same time. The SerialB communication channel is
disabled by default. Enabling LocalTalk or SerialB explicitly disables the
other.
The following list shows the recommended multiple host configurations:

Pa Serial (EIA-232 or DEC423 but not both)
•
Pa SerialB
•
Pa Serial (EIA-232 or DEC423 but not both) + SerialB
•
Pa LocalTalk
Note
DECprint Supervisor for OpenVMS does not support multiple port
configurations. If you use DECprint Supervisor for OpenVMS, use the
serial line.
