Removing SCbus Linecards in Dialogic Configuration Managager
(DCM)—DNA 2, DNA 3.3, and SR5.01
Dialogic System Software SR5.01 requires a different procedure for removing SCbus linecards
than DNA 2 or DNA 3.3. Use the following procedures to remove SCbus linecards from the
DCM.
To remove linecards in Dialogic System Software DNA 2 and DNA 3.3:
1. Choose one:
If you are removing a Dialogic card from
Dialogic System Sofware…
Then…
DNA 2 or DNA 3.3
Proceed to the next step.

Skip to “To remove cards in Dialogic
system software version SR5.01.”
2. If you have not already done so, log on to Windows NT Server with an account with
Administrator privileges on OneBox the platform.
3. From the Start menu, point to Programs and select Dialogic System Software.
4. Click Dialogic Configuration Manager – DCM.
5. Determine how to configure Dialogic Configuration Manager for the Dialogic
linecards you removed from the platform.
If the Dialogic SCbus linecards removed
from the platform…
Then…
No longer appear in the Configured Devices
list.
Skip to step 8.
Still appear in the Configured Devices list.
Click the model name and ID number of the
first linecard you removed in the Configured
Devices list.
6. From the
Action
menu, select
Delete Device
.
7. In the dialog box confirming you want to delete the entries and subentries for the
linecard, click
Yes
.
8. Repeat steps 5–7 for each linecard you must remove manually.
9. Perform the steps in the earlier “Setting the Dialogic Service Startup Mode–SR5.01”
section to start the Dialogic services.
